In this 10 minute video you get to see exactly how Zygor is accessed in-game via the minimap button. Notice that you can leave it open at all times to refer to it. And options can be changed via the add-on options menu.
And Zygor literaly takes your hand in pointing you where to go. You notice the map reference location/destination numbers, and even a waypoint arrow pointing you in the right direction. This is awesome, especially if you've entered a new area and haven't yet learned all the names of the map within that area.
You are directed to where to go, who to talk to and what quests to accept. Notice that the guide's levels which are ahead of your character's level will not be accessible until you reach that articular level.
